ZAXBY’S NAMED PRESENTING SPONSOR FOR RALLY IDOL 2!
HOSTED BY THE RALLY FOUNDATION FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH
American Idol Alumni Clark Beckham, Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams and Anthony Federov as celebrity judges
ATLANTA – The Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research announced today that Zaxby’s will be the presenting sponsor of Rally Idol 2, a rocking night of live musical performances on Saturday, January 28, by the most brave kids in Atlanta. Rally Kids, kids who are fighting or who have fought cancer, will be the stars of Rally Idol 2 as they take the stage in front hundreds of fans at The Buckhead Theatre to perform “American Idol style” with a live band.
American Idol alumni Clark Beckham, Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams and Anthony Federov will act as celebrity judges, giving their feedback after each performance. The live audience at the Buckhead Theatre will “vote” on their phones throughout the evening to support childhood cancer research. Each vote is a donation and every Rally Kid is a winner!
Tickets for Rally Idol 2 are $20 for single admission and $80 for a family pass. To learn more about Rally Idol 2 or to purchase tickets, visit RallyIdol.org or follow @RallyIdol on Facebook and Twitter.
“I love the mission of the Rally Foundation and raising funds specifically for childhood cancer research,” said Charlotte Haigler, licensee of the Atlanta Zaxby’s co-op. “Childhood cancer affects so many in our community. We need more research money to go directly to stopping childhood cancer. I have a passion for Rally Idol and the awareness it brings to the children affected by cancer. It is a night of fun, music, fundraising and highlighting the exceptional singers and their talent. I have tremendous respect for the family that has so lovingly started Rally Idol and their selfless donation of time and energy. I believe their mission fits the Zaxby’s brand perfectly!”
The first Rally Idol, a sold out event with more than 800 in attendance, made its debut in 2014 and raised $60,000 for childhood cancer research. Rally Idol 2 is the vision of 13 year-old Courtney Roach and her older sister, Emily.
“We were inspired to do something big and amazing for my friend (Rally Kid) Ruby and for families like Ruby’s who are fighting or have fought cancer,” said Courtney.
“We are thrilled to have Zaxby’s as a partner in the all-important fight against childhood cancer. There will be much to celebrate – Courtney’s and Emily’s vision, Zaxby’s generosity, stars giving back and talented kids affected by cancer pursuing their dreams,” said Dean Crowe, CEO and Founder of the Rally Foundation. “I am impressed that Courtney has brought together one of the nation’s fastest growing restaurants in Zaxby’s with these former American Idols, and even more impressed watching the talented Rally Kids perform at rehearsals. It is going to be an amazing night.”
About Zaxby’s
Enjoying great chicken in an atmosphere where you could be yourself? That’s what childhood friends Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley wanted to achieve when they founded Zaxby’s back in the 1990s. Many years and locations later, Zaxby’s is still delivering on that promise: to serve delicious chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches and salads in a fun, offbeat atmosphere where we welcome customers as friends. As of December 2016, Zaxby’s has grown to more than 800 locations in 16 states and is headquartered in Athens, Georgia. For more information, visit zaxbys.com or zaxbysfranchising.com.
