Franchise Business Radio Episode 010

Scott Mulloy – President
Naranga
Technology company with integrated solutions for franchise businesses

“Scott’s depth of experience and expertise in developing technology and mobile solutions for a wide range of industries will be invaluable as Naranga positions itself as the premier software provider for franchise and retail organizations,” said Farid, the founder and CEO of Edible Arrangements who acquired franchise software company eMaximation in 2014 and rebranded it Naranga in order to expand the company’s suite of technology solutions. “He has a clear vision of where technology is heading and how growing organizations can take advantage of these advances to build their businesses.”

Mulloy brings over two decades of technology leadership to the role. Prior to joining Naranga, Mulloy was Chief Technology Officer of Softcard, a joint venture formed by ATT, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile that developed and launched a mobile wallet platform. The company was purchased by Google in June. Mulloy, who began his career at IBM, also spent 17 years at GE Capital, where he served as CIO for the Retail Consumer Finance business from 2004 through 2010.

Naranga’s software solutions are designed to help franchise companies and retail businesses use emerging technologies to integrate their sales, operations and marketing activities. Specific features can be tailored to each company’s unique business processes and all applications are developed with a mobile-first approach due to the increasing use of mobile devices over traditional management tools.

“This is a truly exciting opportunity,” said Mulloy, who holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University and is a published author. “Mobile technology has dramatically changed the way companies are able to manage their businesses as well as the way consumers shop for products and services. Franchise chains and retailers must find ways to address this shift in habits and Naranga’s innovative solutions make it possible to seamlessly respond to this rapidly evolving landscape.”
