Dan Campbell A Founder Who Leads with the Heart on Capital Club Radio
Join Michael Flock of FLOCK Specialty Finance as he interviews Dan Campbell, an entrepreneur par excellence. Dan is a partner at MSouth, a leading private equity investment fund based in Atlanta that provides equity capital and expertise to support management teams in acquisitions and recapitalizations of lower middle market companies typically valued between $25 and $200 million. In addition to his equity fund expertise, Dan has over 20 years experience in the staffing industry.
Prior to becoming partner at MSouth, Dan was most recently the CEO of Hire Dynamics, a leading commercial staffing company that he co-founded in 2001 and remains as Executive Chairman. Dan was responsible for growing the Company’s revenue at a 28% CAGR over 15 years, from $3 million in 2000 to over $100 million in 2015. Prior to founding Hire Dynamics, Dan was the CEO of an award-winning staffing company based in Los Angeles. Previous roles also include Director of Business Planning for AHL Services and an investment banker in the Corporate Finance Group of Price Waterhouse. In addition to his Executive Chairman role at Hire Dynamics, Dan remains active in the staffing industry as an investor and advisor at both Work N and ClearlyRated.
Highly engaged in the staffing industry, Dan served on the Board of American Staffing Association (ASA) for 10 years including serving as a past chairman. Additionally, he was elected to the Staffing Industry Hall of Fame by Staffing Industry Analysts in 2017.
Dan is also active within the Young President’s Organization (YPO) Southern Seven Chapter including serving as a past chairman. He was also named Entrepreneur of the Year in Atlanta by Business to Business Magazine.
Dan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA from Millsaps College where he attended on scholarship and played basketball. Dan and his wife reside in Atlanta and are the proud parents of two sons. He is very engaged in their sporting activities including baseball, basketball and soccer.

“Well, first I’m a constant learner a lot of intellectual curiosity and you always do want to make sure that you have the opportunity to be prepared and learn before you do take that leap or before you jump.”
“And it really was just learning through mistakes and eventually developing, that I would say today, that is a strength and very good at reading people.”
“One of my leadership takeaways that I’ve learned over my career, is it’s more important to connect with a person’s heart than it is their head.”
