Jim Shumake, Owner
Atlanta Creative Events and Foodorama Grant Park
Guest BIO:
For two years, Jim Shumake has planned and executed some of the Southeast’s most well-attended and buzzed-about food truck festivals, including the Buckhead Food Truck Fridays, Macon Food Truck Festival, Columbus Food Truck Festival and Athens Food Truck Festival.
As a former food truck owner himself, he understands what works and doesn’t work in Atlanta’s changing food event landscape and an often fickle legislature department. Georgia Power recently produced a documentary about Jim’s transition from a food truck owner to a food truck festival producer. You can see that documentary on Georgia.org from May 2 through April 23, 2016.
